I have been talking about watching The King's Speech ever since the movie first came out. The younger one finally rented the movie for me yesterday, plopped me in front of the PS3, explained the controls, and left to spend time with her friends. The spouse was at a skeptics meeting all evening. What an utterly fabulous movie! I might even buy a copy! And now you know my taste in movies.

TWINS! I watched The King's Speech yesterday...though via a DVD player, not a PS3. Not so twinsy was my reaction. I loved it -- it's a great movie -- but it left me pondering why I can love some movies and have no desire to own it, while other movies leave me clinging to the rental DVD until I decide to buy 'em. The King's Speech went back this morning, with nary a regret.

Oh, the agony of the opening scene.

I don't know that I ever cling to movies. But there are some I think I might like to watch again. Someday. This is one of them. I like Colin Firth, I think he's a good actor, though I don't get the fan-girling over him. I'm a bit embarrassed to find that I'm learning history through movies and Hetalia, though.

I am also wanting to watch this film. One day I will catch it somehow. ^_^

You should! It would be great with a glass of wine on a quiet night. The little one pronounced it one of the world's most boring movies after watching 5 minutes of it.

ahhh to be young again.

and I agree with you on Colin Firth being a good actor, as well as not getting the fangirling.
