I weep with desire.

Those look mouthwatering, but I don't think I can order them from Singapore! (Or afford to, anyway.)

When are the official moon viewing dates this year? Are they the same in China and Japan?

Wednesday, September 22. I've no idea if Japan even has moon viewing dates!

I want to go to Singapore!

I'm so jealous of these people in Singapore.

Unnnnfffffff

Though I have to say I never quite got snowskin. It's so pretty, but seems to be quite flavorless.

I don't normally buy them, so I don't know if they are flavorless. These are described as having flavor ... I'll have to check out the snowskin this year. I've always been a traditionalist ...

I like the snowskin ones because I find the traditional ones too rich. Also with the snowskin ones the flavours of the more 'noveau' ones come through better. ^_^

Haha I, on the other hand, am already completely tired of mooncakes. And the eighth month has just started!

[identity profile] mvrdrk.livejournal.com 2010-09-08 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! I think it's because I have to search if I want anything culturally Chinese, being surrounded by the stuff, I imagine you are tired of it!

[identity profile] i-am-zan.livejournal.com 2010-09-09 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
Oh nos... really ... I could never tire of mooncakes. One month is over too fast and I can never sample them all. ^_^ but cannot afford to buy them all ... I end up buying the Begawan Solo ones usually, one year I think I bought some from the somewhere like the Conrad hotel. Over tomorrow also Raya is tomorrow wheee! ^__^ so mooncakes and 'kueh tart' all at the same time.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Zan!

(It's just that my sweet tooth has been steadily getting less sweet over the year, and mooncakes are Very Sweet.)
